Good news; swallowing is improving and I get less breathless when leaning back. Bad news; the burning in my throat is back, along with a lot of gas. No matter how much water I drink or no matter how much Gaviscon I take, I get a burning sensation in my throat after drinking, burping or leaning my neck to the side. This is accompanied by a sore throat that appeared out of the blue.

3 guesses how it appeared? From trying to resume a normal diet again. Only 2 minutes after I finished having noodles for the first time in what feels like years, my throat became sore like I had a virus. I fouldn't make it stop with any amount of Gaviscon but I don't buy it as a coincidence that bad food brought it on. Also my burning throat worsens by the afternoon, and I'm getting more headaches/migraines than usual.

I always have tight throat muscles so I wondered if that contributes at all? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'ma try shovelling manuka honey down my throat to see if that helps. :p

Too much Gaviscon can give you headaches.

Does your product have aspartame in it? That gives me a bad reaction.

Noodles make me sick. I've gotten intolerant to wheat. You might try rice noodles. I get along fine with them.

Take it easy on the honey and everything else. Overdoing anything, even water, is never a great idea.
