Hi guys, I am wondering how long have you been using a wedge pillow? I have been using a wedge pillow for almost 2 years since I was diagnosed with Gerd . How long are we supposed to use it if we don't plan to have surgery?

also are there any side effects associated with using a wedge pillow? My biggest concern is whether a wedge pillow could lead to ptosis of stomach or other abdominal organs?

Any ideas? Thanks

I haven't been able to use a wedge pillow. Maybe I'm not doing it right. I need to get propped up in bed and get off the couch but haven't found the right pillow combination.

Why would wedge make your stomach drop? Are you having a problem? Exercises might help. It's important to keep acid out of the esophagus to prevent cancer, so I'd keep up with it if it's working.

I don't use a wedge pillow, my bed is elevated and I feel that is enough.

No, I am not having a problem now. But my mother-in-law warned me of this possibility yesterday. I am just thinking that if I have to use a wedge pillow all of my rest life, this could be very possible when I get old. So I may need to exercise my stomach muscles from now on.
