Hi Alex,

I have excess saliva as well as I have a bad GERD myself. Who know you might have to do Nissen Fundo again!

Alex, check your heart rate during your episodes. Is it fast? Regular or irregular?

Did you have any incidents like this before the surgery?

Does it happen just anytime? Mostly within an hour after eating? Mine are triggered by eating certain foods.

"Taking your breath away" sounds like a heart arrhythmia. I'd make an appointment with a cardiologist just to get checked.

Nerves and blood vessels in the area get cut, damaged, irritated during this surgery. They may or may not settle down. Report these events to your gastroenterologist as well as the surgeon.
