I never had this problem until I was sick and a bad doctor decided lots of drugs was the answer...he put me on everything in his office. His theory was if it doesn't work, try another.  At one point he had me on 5 drugs....I went to his office and after one look at me he told me to quit cold turkey. Needless to say, I go to a different doctor now.  Did taking lots of meds cause this?  If so, how do you reverse it?

If your off the meds now, any reflux you are having is more than likely your diet.

one point of note --- some antibiotics are really hard on the stomach (especially culprits like BiaxinXL or even [sorry Norm] CiproXR). usually these symptoms abate within 10 days after discontinuing antibiotic therapy though. if not, you might want to consult your physician to discuss the possibility of some residual stomach pain. additionally, these symptoms can be compounded by taking OTC meds such as Naprosyn, Advil, etc.

hpoe you feel better!

I always have alot of reflux with antibiotics (and other meds). It does subside a bit when I'm done with the anitibiotic, but it seems to cause damage that doesn't easily go away. One thing to consider is that the antibiotics really killed off alot of your good bacteria in your intestines. I would suggest eating alot of yogurt, with live cultures in it, and also taking a probiotic (acidophilus).
