Hello all recently I've been experiencing discomfort on my right side of chest / rib while swallowing. Not sure if it's from muscle inflammation of chest or my esophagitis. Doctor says it might be esophagitis but I had an endoscopy done two months ago and there was only mild inflammation. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what medicine helped. I'm on dexilant for about five days now. Still burping after my meals.

Are you sure it's chest and not right under the ribs in the abdomen? Right upper quadrant pain can have any of a number of causes, and can be tricky. The gallbladder is there, also a big turn in the colon that can cause pain from gas, etc. I have three slipping ribs there, but that was from a wreck and "seat belt rash."

But I'm no doctor! Better discuss this with yours!!
