Granted, I've had sleep issues (unrefreshing sleep, daytime sleepiness) most of my life, but with my newfound LPR/GERD, I have much-increased fatigue, sometimes feel off-balance, and just generally not well and a little weak. Even after a nap.

Could this be due to the (possible) overgrowth of bacteria in gut/intestines? Or buildup of fluid, or maybe a sinus infection due to the fluid/acid/pepsin?

Ugh. Anyone feel this increased fatigue?

Anyone?

Things I notice about fatigue and LPR/GERD:

1) When I'm tired (sleep deprived), my reflux is a lot worse.

2) When I have reflux, I immediately feel fatigue (different from sleep-deprived feeling). Once I stop reluxing, the fatigue goes away.

I guess not being rested makes anything worse...?

But what would cause the fatigue/unwell-feeling/off-balance feeling when I'm refluxing?

Should I be tested for parasites, etc? Or is this common? Ugh.

Have you found anything out, Ozze? And what do you suffer from--LPR or GERD, or both? Thanks.

Forgot to mention I also have a rapid pulse when I get the reflux-induced tiredness; I've read about that in other posts. Maybe connected to vagus nerve? Weird.
