New to the site, but wanted to chime in on the reflux issue, I have had stomach issues and heartburn for years and have been on PPIs for it (which created their own set of problems) been getting this lately and it is so painful, that milk, bread, vinegar and all the things recommended to make the burning pain go away did not work. I ran onto a post that said use honey, and that has worked the best so far... this is the worst pain and takes forever to go away... if anyone has anything better, please advise, sick of this...

I'm sorry to hear about this awful GERD problem that is happening to you. Suggest that you tell us a little bit about your self-- if you care too. What tests have you had. Have you seen a doctor--GI or ENT or surgeon. Are the pains during the day or night or all the time. Where is the pain located.

Are you avoiding acid foods, for example,-- coffee, carbonated drinks, citrus, chocolate, tomato etc..

Are you sleeping with the upper bed elevated.

Have you kept a diary of foods consumed and when consumed and list your symptoms. Had food sensitivities tested to see what to be avoided like dairy, gluten, raw foods. Chew foods really well and no bolting.

Do you stop eating, snacking several hours before bedtime. Have you tried Aloe-- the kind without citric acid.

Other members will be coming on with suggestions
We welcome you to our forum . My best to you! This disease sucks.😫

Welcome GS,

I see you've already been welcomed by Pat, who has provided you with lots of great information and has asked some very important questions! GERD is definitely no fun, and I'm sorry you're struggling!

As Pat said, I'm sure others will be by soon to offer support and information!

Best wishes,
Denise
