I've been reading a lot on this site as of late due to some upper gi issues i've been having for months. It started out just having heartburn and feeling nauseas.I also have crohns disease so i told my gi because i was staying nauseas so he put me on 20mg. of aciphex that seemed to help some. I ran out of the aciphex and did with out it for about a week and a half. In that short period of time things got much worse.I started having the feeling that something was stuck in my throat and could feel this all the way down to the middle of my breast.I'm back on the aciphex and it dosen't seem to be helping to much and now i have this raspy sound in my voice like it's under a strain. What do you guys think does this sound like gerd? My gi has me coming in for a EDG on the 28th so if any one would like to replie, that would be great. Thanks Karen

Hi Karen!

I'm so glad that they will be doing the egd on you soon so that they can either rule out a problem or find out what it is! I sometimes get that raspy voice as well and it's usually after sleeping - so I suspect it's from the reflux at times - tho I do have allergies and asthma? Do you have asthma?

Please let us know what happens after the egd okay?!

Hugs, Teri :)
