Well it all happened about three days ago. I woke up with the feeling of not being able to breathe. This turned into an anxiety attack, and I had to be taken to the hospital. I felt like I couldn't breathe, and I was having difficulty swallowing saliva so I was freaked out, but they said I was getting enough air to my lungs, and said the difficulty swallowing could have been just the anxiety. Well over the past couple of days, I've still had problems with breathing, which can be solved by burping. Sometimes it feels like the burps get stuck in my chest. I've also been farting a lot. This is really horrible, as it interferes with my daily life and prevents me from sleeping and I wanted to know if there was some way I could get rid of this. Been searching google, and i've mainly been pulling up acid reflux stuff, but I dont think I've had heart burn or anything. I have been taking these knock off tums though, but I'm not quite sure they're helping.

Sounds like you have a hiatus hernia and LPR

Try a natural prokinetic such as iberogast which will speed stomach emptying and reduce the amount of gas in your stomach which is refluxing into your throat.

If it continues see an ENT

Hello testing machine,

I'm new here also and I have been suffering some of the same symptoms also. I panicked from that sensation of feeling as if there is a burp stuck in my chest . Its like my heart was doing flip flops.
It sounds like really bad gerd. And sometimes switching what side you lay on help some.

Hi testing machine,

Didn't realize reflux can get as worse as this. I used to take Omeprazole but stopped it for fear of any side effects hope you get better soon.I have constant burps even without eating and recently have this feeling of food lodged in my throat no pain in chewing or swallowing just that feeling of food inside my mouth.
