Hello All.
I am a 38 yr old male with Gerd and LPR since about
four years ago. I take 40mg Prilosec in the AM, And 150mg Ranitidine in PM. about
one month ago I developed lower left lobe pneumonia and I was treated with antibiotics ans steroids. It seemed to clear up for a bit but I feel like it is now redeveloping. I asked my doctor whether it could be aspiration pneumonia, to which she said no because it always occurs in the right lobe. Of course I felt that this response was dismissive (as doctors can be) so I researched and found that aspiration pneumonia may occur anywhere. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with, or thoughts about
this? Thanks.
Happy Holidays.

not to alarm you bu this is cause for surgery. You do not want this repeating. Take it seriously.

Yes, I've had it about
two years ago, it was so bad they first thought it was tuberculosis. It is very important to stick to a diet until you know exactly was gives you heartburn. (which could be: allergies, a weak muscle between stomach and esophagus etc)

Heya Rover, I'm beginning to think that I'm getting aspiration pneumonia as well. Mind if I ask what your symptoms are. I have a feeling that has seemed to have slowly built up on my left side too.
