I have GERD + HH, but that's the least of my worries.  I've been diagnosed w/ "mild to moderate" (!) motility probs, but they are getting much worse.  I blow up like an inner tube from the least bit of food.  Currently living on nutrition shakes.  Doc prescribed 2 week course of erythromyacin tabs to speed emptying, and will do 1 month of liquid form if the tabs don't work.  I am also seeing an ND, who prescribed abdominal self-massage and clay tabs to help with the bloat.  I am trying to avoid reglan unless absolutely necessary.  As some of my prior posts show, I believe it's a dangerous drug and hate the thought of taking it.  (I also believe that the Nexium is at least partially to blame for the bloating issues.)

Any of you folks with motility probs, please feel free to post your suggestions.  This is awful.

Before being diagnosed with CD I had many of the same symptoms as you. I also, so a ND who thought I might have celiac disease (unable to digest gluten products). Prior to seeing the ND, I was always told the (my whole life) it was either in my head (yeah righ) or I had gastroparalysis.

Then I finally meet the right GI who ran the correct test colonoscopy, and determined that I had crohn's disease.

I have never had a problem taking nexium. Ask the ND or your regular Dr. about celiac. Especially if you notice the bloating after eating wheat products (just about everything contains gluten).

Hope you feel better soon.

DX in Aug. 20002 at the age of 32 years old with UC/Crohn's, surgery (small bowel resection) for crohn's on Aug. 17, 2005. Symptoms since I came out of my mother (LOL), no but really the age of six is when I first started developing signs of Crohn's.

Hi I am new here- I have gallbladder problems, GERD, and I am using  Iberogast for increasing my motility- not even a week yet- I am about 50% better some days which is better than NO BETTER right? I also started eating a bowl of oatmeal with raisins every morning.  I was scared to try Reglan too so I did a search for natural meds. Prevacid, Tagamet, etc. of little  or no good to me at this point.

I have constant burping problems much worse after being still and especially after naps! Weird huh?

Maybe motility or wrap not working correctly anymore- I had Nissen fundo wrap last December - I vomited daily with my huge HH and GERD, esophogeal stricture before I had my wrap.....

Any ideas about why I burp all the time? My dr doesn't think belching is a sign of gallbladder problems but my husband insisted on Ultrasound and HIDA scan so we did one- I was positive for stones! But I hear lots of folks have stones with no symptoms.
My friends on aother forum say to get another PH test and gastric emptying test- have you had that yet?

Yup, BBG, I have had a gastric emptying test.  It's completely painless, so I do suggest you do it, as burping can be caused by both GERD and delayed emptying.

Which of your tests showed the gall stones -- CT, HIDA, or both?  What do the docs plan to do about them?

Wishing you improved health . . . to us all, in fact.
