Gerd/LPR question for anyone that has taken Thyroid meds (Synthroid, Cytomel, Armour etc)

Hello, I am hoping for some input from anyone that has or is taking thyroid medication of any kind. I have Hashimoto's and subclinical hypothroidism. At this point my doctor is mainly treating symptoms as My levels are only a bit out of range.
I have had lifelong GERD (am 29) and have had more LPR like symptoms the last few years. I take Zegerid 20 mg 2x daily, Carafate suspension at night and zantac and gaviscon as needed. I have had flare ups on and off recently which have included severe swallowing problems.
I had hoped starting thyroid meds might help as I know hypothyroidism can cause/exacerbate Gerd. I was taking very low dose Cytomel (alone) for 6 months and experienced a severe LPR flare up , constant non acidic reflux, lots of mucus in throat, esophageal spasms and difficulty swallowing. i was never sure whether to blame the Cytomel or not as I have had this before. I did however determine the Cytomel was causing other side effects and now have switched to Synthroid. I am now experiencing severe burning reflux which is quite rare for me. I am starting to suspect the thyroid meds and am getting concerned about what to do. I am tired of suffering and down to eating 5 foods.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar and if so what was ypur solution? Thank you so much!

Consider being elvauated for Autoimmune Gastritis which is commonly linked to Hashimoto’s. Also consider getting screened for celiac disease which is also linked to Hashimoto’s. Check your thyroid medication for binders if you seriously think your thyroid medication is causing you GERD symptoms. You may be intolerant to corn or gluten.

I have all three of these AI issues. Luckily, my thyroid replacement is gluten free and I do not have issues with corn.
