I am new to this website and hope to find some encouraging information. I had the Nissen surgery 16 months ago. I was in the hospital for 8 days after developing pneumonia. My stomach was behind my heart and was moved back in place and anchored with a feeding tube for 6 weeks. I have been battling diarrhea and gas nearly every day since the surgery. I have eliminated all dairy, breads, and fruit and any gas causing vegetables. The only things I can eat are meat and pasta. I still have heartburn and reflux and continue taking omepresole and Zantac 150 and Bentyl daily (now up to 4 times a day). The surgeon said some people may have to have surgery again. Please let me know that I am not alone with this problem and there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
I gave your post a heading so more members will see it, also added Bentyl for you. Any time you need to edit one of your posts, click the little pencil icon & edit away, lol.
