Good morning, fellow sufferers, It's been 5 months since I quit my PPI cold turkey (BAD idea!) and I am still suffering horrible rebound acid reflux, burning, and nausea. I feel sick on just about a daily basis. I have tried just about every natural product out there, most without much success except for perhaps the apple cider vinegar but it does not always work. Has anyone tried CBD oil for these symptoms, and if so, at what dosage? I am open for any suggestions, I am soooo miserable. Thanks.

I have not had any experience or heard of someone who has used CBD oil. Other than going back on a low dosage of your PPI and weaning off with your doctor's advice, you could ask for a prescription of Zofran for nausea. Usually rebound acid only lasts for a period of 1 to 3 months, and your past that. When was your last endoscopy? The reason I ask is because you may have gastritis.

Thank you for your input, SharonZ. I have been reading about CBD oil and "they" claim that it is helpful for pain, nausea, stress, etc. But at what dosage. I have been taking Tagamet more regularly these days during the times when my heartburn is at its worse (usually in the afternoon at work ... strange how it doesn't happen as much at home!) and that has been helpful. My friend bought me two bottles of CBD oil (and it is very expensive ... !) as a gift, but I have not been taking it yet until I gather some more information. I do have a prescription for phenergin pills, suppositories, and also for Zofram. I am also taking a daily probiotic. My last endoscopy was 2011. I saw a new GI doc in August (I think it was August), and see him again next month. Something tells me another endoscopy is in my future. What exactly is gastritis?

I don't think I would experiment with the dosage until I spoke with a doctor that specialized in treatment with CBD oil. Gastritis is an inflammation in the stomach that can be caused by a number of things, including stress and overuse of ibuprofen products (Advi), as well as hPylori bacteria.
