I've been reading these forums for a while now and finally decided to create an account. I had a hiatal hernia repair and Linx device placement surgery done back on 8/11/2017. My recovery was rough by I got through it and from November through mid-January I enjoyed the bliss of being reflux free.
However, over the past 4 days I've really been suffering. It seems like I've had some sort of acid attack and I'm right back where I was before the operation. I'm scheduled for a ct-scan and gastric emptying study in 21 days and the thought of waiting that long is agonizing. I'm back on over the counter Prilosec and gaviscon as needed. They help to dull the pain slightly but otherwise it's constant burning esophagus pain.
I've read a few posts on this forum about
people working through issues with the Linx device and who still experience problems long after. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, or bad acid attack that got better over time? Is it still possible to have an episode of reflux that heals and you get back to normal?
Thank you for reading.
