That’s awesome! The EndoStim looks like it could be a viable option for people with GERD. I’ll be looking forward to hearing your next update on how everything is going! By the way, how does that pocket with the device feel like?
It is awesome! I really hope as technology progresses the Endostim can be perfected or the optimal solution to GERD can be found so nobody should suffer from this horrible disease!
I will try to update every 2 weeks at least, and to answer all the questions here
Regarding your question my device is placed on my lower abdomen, below the navel and to my left, so it is under my belly fat. I do not feel it at all when I am resting, it just feels like I never had anything done there. Of course if I touch the area I can feel it under my skin, feels like a hard object, but it is not painful when I touch it.
The only times I "feel" the device is when I get into my car and my jeans press against it, but I am only 2 weeks post-op, so I am still tender a bit. I have not yet tried any sport like activities or a lot of bending or stretching. My surgeon said I should not have any limitations whatsoever after 12 weeks (due to a small hernia repair), so we´ll see.
Also, when I see myself in the mirror it is also not very noticeable, you can hardly see it at first glance.
