4 months ago, I found out I have GERD and not only that, also had my gallbladder surgically removed.
After recovery, everything was fine, tried my best to follow my GERD diet, until this past Sunday, I started to bloat again.
I went back to see my doctor to try figuring out what went wrong.
During the 4 months, I had been on Omeprazole, 20mg everyday. I've tried various remedies, ginger root tea w/ raw honey, Dandelion Tea, just started taking Probiotic pills, eating yogurt, etc.
I've ate plain meals, chicken, turkey, fish, eating vegetables while learning which to avoid eating. I've enjoyed Watermelons and Cantaloupes.Found out Kiwi is good, so I picked up some.
Hardest thing I had to give up was coffee. This may have been what my mistake was and why I started bloating up again.I'm swearing off coffee forever.
I still have a lot to learn, even at 4 months, I'm still a newb.
I hope I can learn alot from this forum and the help, suggestions and so on. I'll be reading a lot on this forum. Please feel free to give me, the newbie, any suggestions you can best offer.
Oh btw, I learned that Omeprazole gives gas, so that may also have been a contributing factor, the doctor recommended Zantac, what's your experience on this?
