My husband had a fundoplication with hernia repair December 6th, 2018 (300 degree wrap). And I really appreciate how supportive posters here were throughout the early stages in particular. It's been tough!
Throat tightness and clicking, particularly after eating, gas pains, and difficulty breathing sort of subsided around the six week mark or so, and things were good. A couple of weeks ago however, he ate a slightly large meal, and all of these symptoms have come back for him. These symptoms, as before, make it too uncomfortable for him to drive, so he's working from home. Also, does anyone feel like things tug internally? It feels as though things have been stitched to each other and pull with each other, so the stomach when it's full pulls on the throat, which causes throat tightness.
He had a barium swallow about
a month ago that showed everything was where it ought to be. Is the return of these symptoms any cause for concern? I'm hoping that they will subside as they have before. Would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
