Hi, I can give some insight for you as I am currently pregnant (8 months). I am 29 years old, February 2018 I had the nissen fundoplication (partial wrap) and hiatal hernia repair.
Surgery was in February and I was married in June... successfully I was feeling really good for our wedding and our European honeymoon. yes there are changes to my meals and dealt with adjustments of days where gas pains get very bad or food gets stuck but you do adjust. My Surgeons and family Dr gave me the okay to get pregnant. by August we were excited but nervous for our positive pregnancy test. I went on diclectin- an anti nausea med for pregnancy. I helped a lot as I cannot vomit. there were times in the first trimester where I would dry heave and stand over the sink so frustrated because I just wanted to get sick but couldn't... but I got through it.. now in my third trimester I do feel good. I do watch gassy foods.. I also do have an area on the top of my stomach just under my breasts where it is swollen and hot to the touch. the OB believes this is my surgery wrap being pushed up by the pregnancy and lack of room so we watch it closely and I use a cold pack at night to reduce the inflammation. I will say my acid returned in the 3rd trimester as well - which wasn't fun but after trying zantac I did switch to 15mg PPi's (I was on 60mg before surgery) so its a low dose and it works wonders! ... my only concern now is the idea of pushing during labour but my OB has been very good and is doing research and we have discussed if things get back we switch to C-section.. but for now we are planning a natural birth (with epidural)
hope this insight helps
