Well I had the gallbladder out 3 months ago. No change in Gerd. I really thought that was it, no such luck. The day I was told it needed to come out was same day a book. Of course I threw that on the shelf and didn't touch it until 01/19. Well the low carb thing seems to be helping but I'm finding out you really have to pay attention how you eat. I've got to do something about this stuff, it just gets worse. Had it for at least 14 yrs. Been on nexium for over 6-7 yrs and doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I've got to get weight down, I've lost 25 lbs since fall got at least 30 to go. Still have chest pain, burping issues, and when it hits hard total feeling of weakness. As I posted 3 months ago, not the heart, had many many tests. All fine. Will post from time to time on low carb. Next stop is Mayo Clinic, hope I don't have to go there. Gary

How's your diet? Have you quit tomato products? Have you quit vitamin C enriched foods? Have you stopped eating 3-4 hours before you go to bed?

Changed diet completely since 01/19. Low carbing it, kind of tuff but workable. Don't eat 3.5 hrs before bed. Some carbs are getting by because I've been eating fruit-fresh. Little bit of fruit juices but they are going. Trying fresh veg's lots of meats, no bread or anything that comes out of a bag or box...as in snacks flour related. Still drink coffee, lots water, beer twice a week w/ new mixed nuts. I've lost between 7-10 lbs. Forgot to weigh when I started. It seems to be helping, at least when I do get hit with gerd it doesn't hit anywhere near as bad as before. So more fine tuning and see what happens.

Gary,
Thanks for trying to get the word out that this approach works.

Jennifer,
This is not **** Germany. Stop with the outrageous edits. Your edits are the reason I don't bother posting on this board anymore.
