I started having reflux into my throat and sinuses in December of 2018, and soon started the gastro process.
The Bravo test indicated that my PPI's were working as reflux is non acidic.
The Manometry test indicated weak esophageal motility thus eliminating the Linx procedure option and limiting the fundoplication to 270.
I had a nissen 270 in July along with a minor hernia repair, but the surgery had no effect on the reflux.
I'm really kind of lost at this point. Non acidic reflux virtually 24 hours a day with the taste of bile? in my mouth continuously. A couple of strong drinks in the evening lessens the issue for a few hours but not much else helps.
Does anyone know if Roux en Y surgery is a viable option? I dont think I want a stomach bypass but some sort of variation?
Does anyone know of any foods or diet that lessens the constant reflux? Any belief that daily alcohol consumption might cause it?
I really don't understand how the fluid migrates up continuously and am about at my wits end. My LES must remain open all the time.
Any advice is appreciated.
