hello all, been awhile. so time has passed since surgery, so I thought I would share. at this point I can eat pretty much anything, although I still exercise portion control. steak can be a little tough, but still partake every once in awhile. the esophageal spasms,I had so much trouble with, for a good three years, have abated. every once in awhile food can be a little slow going down, but reaches its final destination. still get the gas after I eat, not as bad but present. work is no issues, being a pipefitter, the work is hard. I have no issues with cardio workouts, still enjoy them. realizing I will never be the man I was pre surgery. 215lb very athletic martial artist [ I still maintain flexibility but no punching and kicking ] and I weigh 185 lbs. which I have maintained, at almost 58 I am ok with it. the new normal took a longtime to find, and get use to. the recovery from this operation, is difficult, the rules and information, are not always clear. I hope everyone. is doing the best they can, and most importantly healing well.
