Everyone w I had the bravo chip inserted Friday am.

I am miserable a pain in my chest when I swallow and bad upper back pain when eating.

I know the chest pain is common but has anyone heard of the upper pack pain when eating??

Good morning.

Sorry you are not feeling well with the Bravo in place. I had the standard pH monitor/probe through my nose into the stomach for 24 hours, which was annoying but manageable. When the test is complete, really would appreciate reading of your experience with the Bravo should it be recommended for me in the future.

If you are really uncomfortable to the point of pain, definitely speak with your doctor. Call today. Don't sit there the whole weekend thinking there might be something wrong when it's a common problem. Good luck.

Soft foods and liquids I can tolerate. Tried a burger last night with bun and the upper back and chest pain was excruciating.

I’m not sure how I can replicate my normal diet on soft foods

When I did the Bravo I couldn't eat anything. Fortunately mine fell off early.

If you're past the 2 days the thing was recording and still miserable, I would first call the doc who stuck it on, and if s/he doesn't want to take it off you can go to the ER and get them to take it off. At least that's what i was told.
Take a drive with you because you won't be able to drive after anesthesia.

Unfortunately, some people experience a lot of discomfort with the Bravo sensor. I guess I was lucky and it didn't bother me at all before it fell off in a few days. I agree with Alcie's advice, contact your doctor and/or head to the ER if your are still experiencing pain.
