Hi there, I'm (26/F) just starting my GERD healing journey after suffering with symptoms for the last 10 years.
What caused me to finally go to my doctor for GERD was random bouts of excessive thirst. I just started Omeprazale this week and I haven't been taking any other medications.
I'm wondering if anyone else gets really thirsty as a result of GERD? Before you ask, yes I was screened for diabetes and I do not have that. I had 2 sets of blood work done over the summer and again last week and all my blood work is normal. Tyroid, B12, vit D... everything. What is it that causes me to be thirsty? It's mainly a feeling of thirst I have in my throat but also my mouth has been more dry as well.
