Hi all,
I am new to this forum. For the past 6 months, I have had chronic sore throat, combined with burning in my upper chest as well as my upper back b/t shoulder blades. My throat feels really sore a couple of days a week. On days it hurts, it usually goes away after a good night's sleep, although it may reappear later in day.
I visited my ENT on a day when it was feeling sore. He did a laryngoscopy and said my throat was very healthy, yet it felt sore. He said he did not see anything. I can only assume it's the constant burning that's causing the throat to "feel" sore, yet it doesn't look sore. I don't know how else to explain it.
Sometimes my forearms and forehead gets "chilled" or pins and needles effect. I have not been nauseous, nor do I have problems swallowing, no cough, no vomiting.
I have taken out all the foods that cause GERD (well, still drink a couple of glasses of tea in the morning), but there are still days my throat hurts. Does what I described sound like GERD symptoms?
Thanks so much!

The best thing for your to do would be to make an appointment with a gastro doctor. It's quite possible that the symptoms that you are experiencing are directly related to your stomach. My suggestion would be to take a Pepcid and bedtime and schedule your gastro appointment.
