I'm new, and I'm pretty miserable, I can't live like this forever.

My name is Jenna, I'm a teenager, and I've had so many health problems in the past couple years.  I hope y'all can help me feel better, I noticed many of my symptoms are the same as many people here.

I'll try and keep my life story short. tongue    My symptoms: GERD, nausea, post-nasal drip, excess saliva, upset stomach or the feel of slime in my stomach, bloating, burping, food sitting in my stomach for hours & hours, occasional heart palpitations or skipping beats, sensetivity to smell and taste (I get nauseous from smells easily), dull ache in stomach occasionally.  And also I can hardly eat because of this stuff, and I'm a criticaly low weight.

I have a G-tube in because of my low weight, the feedings through it only make me feel worse.  I can't eat because I feel so sick, but all this tube does is put food into my stomach so it doesn't help me feel better at all. eyes

I only drink water, and eat bland foods such as oatmeal, cereal, eggs, and other foods that are pretty bland.  I can not eat all day but still feel just as sick.  I get full from drinking a small amount of water as well.

Here are the tests the doctors have done: Stomach emptying scan=normal, gallbladder scan=normal, allergies= pollen/trees, endoscopy= normal, celiac disease= normal, food allergies= none, h-pylori= normal, CAT scan= no brain tumor confused , ulcers= none.

I've tried allergy meds (didn't help at all), tums/maalox (helped a tiny bit for only 1 hour), prevacid (didn't seem to do anything at all), and I'm currently on Pepcid which helps a little but not enough.

I feel like I can't go on with this stuff much longer, I'm already skin & bones, any advice or encouragment would be great.  I realise many of you are going through a lot worse stuff and for longer than me though, I pray you people get better.  Thank you for reading this, sorry it's so long. sad

i cant be away from my home as i need to be around a toilet but i am 50 and have lived my life, you are a younger kid and you dont need this in your life.
i hope they can get you more answers somehow

I'm not sure if they have tested for parasites or c dificle, I will look into that though.
I don't have any constipation or diarrhea so they haven't wanted to do a scan of my lower intestines and stuff if that's what you mean.
The rest of my family is pretty healthy, they can eat and eat and not have any problems.

No matter how old you are this stuff is horrible, I'm sorry you have to go through this too.
Thanks for responding. =)

what are/were your eating habits like before any of this started for you?

You may not have food allergies, but you can certainly be sensitive to certain foods as well.  Are you taking any supplements?

Sounds like you need to hook up with a new dr.  I hope you get to feeling better again real soon.

Well I used to eat bad before this started.  Waffles drowning in syrup, cake, icecream, pizza.  But then I started eating healthier, carrots, eggs, fish, and stuff like that, but I still felt worse and worse still.

I take several suplements, vitamin c, probiotic, calcium, multi-vitamin, vitamin b complex, digestive enzymes.  The only one I really feel a difference with is the probiotic though, when I stopped taking it for a week I got the worst heatburn ever, but the first day I started taking it again the hearburn settled down and has stayed at a ok level.

I wish I could see a different doctor.  But being a teen still I can't decide that myself, and CPS (Child Protective Services) got involved when they found out my low weight.  They threatened my parents not to "doctor hop" because my parents took me to a different doctor the first couple of times.  The first doctors I ever saw were horrible, one of them came in the room, took one look at me, and knew my whole life story without even talking to me.  eyes He was so arrogent and ignorant, so we didn't see him again.
