This year I was diagnosed with GERD with an esophageal ulcer and had received medicine prescription with PPI, and I changed my diet with replacing coffee with tea (I found Matcha has a good kick), ate less at supper and made sure to not eat before bed. Started walking in the evening more too.
I had a follow up endoscopy after three months and found that I had healing so was just told to keep taking medicine and carry on.
I'm afraid this last month has been busier and more stressful and I had slipped up with more impulsive treats. I realized that I was feeling bad last week and am trying to get back on track.
I find that I am not feeling heartburn so much, instead I have been having lots of gas. I haven't had reflux since before my diagnosis, and with healing thought I was getting better....but I don't think so anymore.
Any tips on dealing with long term adjustment? Wondering if anyone has had success going wheat free?
