I actually have an ENT that I go to often to have my ears cleaned.  But when I mentioned LPR to him he gave me the impression that he wasn't familar with it.

Does anybody know of any sites that have a listing for good LPR Doctors in certain areas?  I have been off of PPI's for 2 days but the burning sensation in my throat leads me to believe that I should find a doctor who specializes in LPR.  My Gastro enterologist ... he just doesn't acknowledge that this is a big deal, and actually tried to blame the "sour" taste in my mouth on my asthma medication which I take once or twice a week when I work out "you're using that darn asthma medication too much".  He also gave me 1 nexium per day when I know that it is convention to give a patient 2 PPI per day for LPR.

I have also read on many websites that after a 6 month intense treatment for LPR, sometimes patients are taken off of PPI's..which makes me want to try that route...but just not with my GI or current ENT..

any suggestions?

I have decided against diet modifications...you only live once, and to not be able to eat a bowl of cereal, a cinnabon, an everything bagel with eggs and cheese....whats the point of living?
