Took different medicine and nothing work.  I am giving up eating  now. (don;t feel like eating at all !!)  Can anyone help or have similar symptom ?  Am I suffering GERD or any kind..

Its hard to say if you are suffering from GERD-only a good GI dr can determine that. I know that with my GERD, I do get terrible nauesa but I also get the horrible acid burn in the throat with it.

Have you tried taking a little bit of ginger root througout the day? That can sometimes help a lot for some people. You can get it in a tea.

AlanLi...I to have been suffering from nausea for 3+ months. I've had chest x-rays, complete abdominal ultrasound & bloodwork...all normal. I have gotten no real straight answer. I've been on Nexium for almost 4 weeks and that has helped a lot and my doc gave me some zofran for the nausea (GREAT STUFF). My guess for me is somehow I have to much acid in the ole' tummy. Now I'm trying to come off the nexium to try and let my body recalibrate itself and I'm using zantac 75 to help. so far its been 3 days and i'm feeling just "ok" but I've resolved myself to the fact it's going to take time.

Please keep us informed of your progress, I'd be interested to know. I've not really ran across anyone else that has had just nausea for that long. Because I don't have any of the typical GERD symptoms either, no pain, no burning, etc. Good luck and hang in there. It will pass.

I also get bad nausea at times, but I think mine is mostly from my post-nasal drip. I'm sorry I can't be of much help, I hope you feel better soon. Your doctor could give you something for the nausea probably, I take Phenergan, but it puts me to sleep.

yes, I get nauesa  (feel like vomit) whenever I start chewing the foods before I actually swollow them. actually I feel hungry in the stomach.. That's kind of weird and my doc has no solution. I think I will try acupuncture.

AlanLi,

I too have been suffering from nausea for many months., It will be 12 months in March to be exact  ( I'm not trying to scare you or anything, I am just telling you about my situation )
I have had so much bloodwork done and other tests, I also had an upper GI x-ray. I know how you feel about not wanting to eat anymore. I did the same thing for about six months, and then the doc. really got on my case about it and said that if I ate small meals over several periods in the day I would feel better . Feeling better as in the heartburn would not be so bad and I would feel less nauseaus.. which was true.
What I do to get relief from the nausea is I chew gum or eat something with peppermint in it. I find it helps but it's probably not too good for your teeth or stomach to be chewing gum constantly.
I know how frustrating it is to be told there is no soloution, hang in there though.

good luck with accupuncture and I really hope you feel better and find something that helps you.

sparkles13---i'd be interested in knowing if you have been diagnosed with GERD...you can read my post here and see what I've been going through...I am on prevacid now and I do feel some better but I still suffer from nausea. Has your doc given you any hope?

Hi, I just did a search on the symptoms you've got because I've got the same thing.

I don't know what's wrong with me.  It started toward the end of my vacation (around May 25th or 26th) this year, & it hasn't let up.  I'm always SO tired, even if I sleep 10 hours, nauseous, wanting to throw up, either not hungry or SO hungry that I feel as though I'm starving, but when I eat a couple of chips or a cookie or something, I get nauseous again.  The same thing goes if I even LOOK at something when I'm not hungry.  Then last night, I got cold (uncontrollable teeth chattering, shivering, etc) even though it was at least 60 degrees in my bedroom.  & it's starting to get harder for me to sleep since right when I first get in bed, I feel like throwing up.  & I can't move much or else I WILL (or feel like I will).  This sucks. sad

Also, my sister also has the very same symptoms I have.

I'm hoping to get a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I can find out what's going on.  Does ANYONE have the faintest idea?

Thanks again!
