I can relate to this Outlaw. I lowered my carbs and lost 3 lbs. that I didn't need to which concerned me, but the thing is that I feel so much better now so I can eat a little more, and more often. After that initial drop during the 1st couple of weeks, I'm not losing anymore. Also, after initially lowering the carbs a bit in the beginning, I've gradually increased them and am trying to find what works for me.

Outlaw, I have lost a stone in weight and I am now only 6 1/2 st!

I seriously know how you feel. Before I got GERD last year I was trying to put on weight by eating lots of healthy calorie dense foods but now it is difficult.

I don't have the answer. I am an active teacher and can't eat more than I burn off! I aim to eat tuna,nuts,seeds,bananas...that type of thing but i do suffer from heartburn with most everything.

Have you tried weight gaining products such as build up soups/shakes/protein bars?

This is tough because most of the weight-gaining foods I can think of are the ones that make me rather sick. Can you do dairy? I've been adding cheese to just about everything these days.

You could probably eat some crackers, but I can't see that putting weight on... confused
