Ok.  I don't know what is going on with me now.  I went to my doctor eleven days ago because of pitting edema in my ankles and legs.  He put me on Hydrochlorot and I have to go for blood tests in four more days to make sure it is not my heart, liver, or kidneys. (I pray to God it is not).   I have been on the 25mg of hydrochlorot for eleven days now, and in the past four or five, I have started experiencing chest pain (not bad), severe hunger pains (only an hour or two after I eat), very brief episodes of heart burn, and when I eat I get the feeling of having to burp but if I do, food wants to come up to.  Oh, after having a frozen pepsi today, I had that feeling of an air bubble in my chest and when I went to burp, I burped up this foamy stuff??  Does anyone think that sounds like GERD?  Do you think the hydrochlorot could be causing it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

My gerd started with meds...if I had only known....when I called the doc to explain the symptoms...she was like, of course that medicine gave you heartburn...I sure would have liked the choice to have been mine and not hers, know what I mean?

This stuff is very painful and hard to deal with...I would try to get rid of it without the acid meds if possible...they are very hard to get off of...lots of rebound problems. I have been dealing with mine 2 years and yep...feeling a little pain almost all the time.
