I had my gastro appt. I told him what was going on, he said there is too much going on to be gastro.  Well if your esophagus and stomach and pevlic area hurt because you have had severe diarrea and am nauseated  and feel sick after eating. What the heck is it.  He called it functional or dis functional tissue something or other. Looked at me like it's all in my head.
I am taking previcid, and have been for a few years now and was doing fine on it until taking the plaquenil and lexapro.  WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO AND WHERE DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO GET HELP????????
I went for a pelvic ultrasound right away and the tech was asking questions and she said well are you getting a colonoscopy and endoscope?  I said he wouldn't do the colonoscopy and I had to insist on the endo. I said I guess if I am not bleeding it's no use to do one.  He smiled.  Jerk! The tech that did the pelvic ultrasound made some kind of noise after I told her that.  He looked at my blood work that I had done lately for most every thing and he said well this is normal and this is normal and well that the rheumy should talk to you about I don't know anything about that.  And doesn't anyone want to know why I am running a fever most all the time.
  OH GRRRRRR.
No one will listen to me or wants to help me.  He made it sound like it's all in my head.  What a waste of time and money, and yes it was.
Just don't know where to turn to.

I'm really sorry you had that experience..I know all too well what some doctors like that are and how angering it is. All I can suggest is ask for a second opinion and another referral by your GP. It isnt right if a doctor isnt taking something like that serious. What was the outcome of your ultrasound? sounds like it could be a gallbladder issue..

My computer crashed and I wasn't able to get on here for a week. So I am responding to your reply now.

My pelvic ultrasound showed a small cyst on my right ovary.  So the GYn didn't think it's GY related.  But I forgot to ask about if my bladder might be hanging down. I had 3 large babies and I know that can cause this pain and also to ask about endometriosis not showing up on the ultrasound.  so I see the GYN first week in June.  So I am preparing questions.  I feel like I am taking my body in to get an over haul.  I just want to find out what's going on and feel better if that is possible to do with fibromyalgia and lupus. I see the rheumetologist on Thursday and have many things to ask and I also have an endoscope after that appt. the same day.  But what I really need is a colonoscopy. but a friend said they can check for diverticulitis or losis on an MRI, but I think the colonoscopy would be the best.  I did find a gastro group who deals with fibro and lupus patients, so I think that's the way to go.  I told the person I spoke to at the new gastro what happened and she said they wont' do that there. We'll see. I am very leary about going to any doctor now except the GYN, she is more understanding and knows she could hardly do an internal on me without pain.

 thank you.
