This is my first time on your site and I am very impressed with the forum.  For the past 7 years I have been through a number of prescription meds finally having Nexium as my dailey survival companion but have become fed up with the instant pain and reflux if I miss even a single pill.  For a long time I survived on "dead food" and by that I mean plain fast food burgers, plain chips, candy, anything that would fill my stomach and only make me a little bit sick, because I am unable to eat anything "healthy" like lettuce, garlic, sauces, spices, etc without getting very violent stomach problems ( my father has been tested for "sensitive stomach" problems his whole life with nothing ever helping except green tea) .  I have had 3 scopes and am scheduled for a 4th but nothing ever changes I am told not to miss my Nexium.
A few weeks ago I finally decided enough is enough.  I am only 37, 6 ft, 201 lbs and sick of being sick (not to mention buying nexium and imodium) so I have been eating very plain sandwiches, granola bars and only drinking club soda and organic green tea (the tea really calms my stomach).  I have even lost some weight and am feeling better as long as I don't miss my dam pill!  Thus my reason for the post----Can anyone suggest a diet or book that would guide me in the right direction on what to eat bearing in mind that unless something drastic happens I am unable to eat leafy greens (salads) without severe stomach cramps.  Thanks.
