It all started when I noticed that I had eaten pizza several times with very little heartburn. Somehow I made a connection with oregano and decided one night when I was ready to pop something for reflux to try about 1/2 tsp of oregano leaves and chewed them slowly and swallowed. It was not an especially pleasant experience - kinda burns - but it was as effective as Pepcid, etc. - with no kickback or unpleasant feeling the next day. It made my stomach actually feel good - a rare experience when you've got GERD.
Like everything else I've taken, it seemed to lose its effectiveness after awhile, but I still keep a bottle by my bed and use it occasionally - always with results. Anyone have any experience with this or care to try and get back to me?
