I am reeling from a dentists visit where they found an enormous amount of work to be done-granted I'm going for a second opionion but my question is this? Anyone know of the effects of pregnancy, nexium and a teeth connection or a nexium/gastritis teeth connection. I have been assured by this dentist that there is no connection between the two/three. I really don't believe it since I had been before I was pregnant and during and everything was okay then in a four months time I have the sudden need for three root canals, six fillings and three crowns (OMG! I've never had those issues) I've been on nexium about four years. If I didn't have good dental hygene (I swear I do!) I wouldn't be surprised or suspect anything but there's got to be an answer to this. Please please please help... any of your experiences would be great.

Hi Nina

I don't know about the Nexium and teeth problems but I do know about preganncy been there done that. The baby drains alot of calcium from your body when you are pregnant and if you don't intake enough calcium it can greatly effect your teeth.

Hi, Nina 13.  The acid reflux can really do a number and it isn't a good one on your teeth.  Just think of all that acid hitting your mouth and eating away at your teeth.  Not a pretty picture, eh?Take good care of yourself. I am sending good vibrations your way.
