It's me again.  Tonight I have decided to try to find another GI doc.  My doc does not spend more than 3 minutes with me.  The last two times I was with him, he was talking on the phone about $ (a loan, bank?) before my endoscope and $ (a rental or something?) before  my last visit.  I mean I don't hate the guy or anything but he's more interested in business rather than patients.

Am looking for someone else.  If I make this decision to switch, I'll call my HMO and find out the procedure.  Then I will diplomatically get another referral through my main doc.  devil MUST FEED EVERYONE'S EGO, OF COURSE.   devil

We patients ought to form a Union, eh?

I agree...I recently switched doctors for the SAME REASON...he didn't spend more than 5 mins with me before he made his diagnosis..and after he did the $1500 scope...he said "everything looks good...but take this every day for the resto f your life" anyway...

I switched to another doctor in the same practice...and he is alot better...

I have already stopped taking the medicine (ppi's). Will use them only on an as-needed basis. The GI doc has not bothered to explain the relationship between the bleeding ulcer and the so-called reflux problem. Obviously the ppi's were not helping.

Will see my regular doc on Monday. Will try to see my allergist/asthma doc soon. Am really not interested in EVER HAVING ENDOSCOPE AGAIN.

But I must be careful not to ruffle any of their GOLDEN FEATHERS...bunch of money-grabbing louses.
