Anyone have Laparoscopic Anti-Reflux surgery for heartburn?
My doctor is recommending I go to Gainesville Florida (from Cocoa FLorida) to have this done.  The web site for RSAPCI explains it very well, but does not have comments from others who may have had the procedure.  I have had enough of the SERIOUS acid reflux symptoms.  I go to the ER about every 3 months with it.  I tried everything, off and on shelf meds.  Even tried several remedies by "reflux remedy report".
I did talk to one who had it done and she said it cured her.  Anyone else?
PS I also have COPD.  The procedure is supposed to relieve some of the pressure from the lungs caused by the stomach.  This happens because the top part of the stomach is wrapped around the bottom part of the esophagus, thereby taking up less room inside of your belly (more room for the lungs to expand).  Any comments?
