I was starting to get some break through GERD even with being on perscription prilosec. I have always enjoyed my 12 oz can of diet coke in the afternoon at work. I decided to break the habit and see what happens. A freind of mine gave me a 72 oz plastic container for water. Every morning I fill it up and drink it throughout the day and bingo it has helped TREMENDOUSLY. I know its alot of water and I am in the bathroom alot during the day but its worth it to me. I do want to have to increase my meds I am already on hormone supplements.
They say you need 64 oz a day anyways and since I am a runner I need to keep myself hysdrated.
I know everyone is different but this sure has helped me.

That's excellent and water is very good for you. You especially, since you run and are very active.
