    I am a 42 yr old female diagnosed with GERD ever since ive been regurgitating acid I feel like I have something stuck in my throat is theis a symptom of GERD or something more serious? sad

I was also diagnosed with GERD. My problem is sore throat, losing voice, bad taste in mouth, difficulty swallowing. I usually don't have the acid regurgitating. Do you have it at night or during the day?

Hi and Welcome to HW.. I am glad you found us.. When I was first diagnosed in '96 I had the same problem.. I could not even hardly drink anything cause it hurt.. Then they put me on Prilosec and I felt much better in no time.. I would talk to my dr about it just to make sure it is nothing but gerd...

You mentioned diffiuclty swallowing and that is basically my only symptom though occassionally I will get mild chest pain.

How long have you had the swallowing problem. I am sooooo freaked out about it.
