Hi..

This is my first post at HealingWell and I guess I am hoping to find someone who has the same symptoms as I do.

about 3 months ago I started having trouble with Acid reflux (still waiting for endoscopy). I was put on Nexium after a few weeks and stayed on it for about 5 or 6 weeks before the doctor took me off it. It only took about a week or so for the acid pain to come back, and this time I had other symptoms as well:

  1. Bad burning sensation in both eyes
  2. Bad burning feeling in the upper part of my mouth (a little swollen as well)
  3. Dry mouth and burning tounge.

I have never felt nausious.. and have only had a burning feeling in my throat and stomach.

Anyone else with any of these problems with or without a diagnosis?

Yes, I always have a dry mouth and burning in tongue and mouth plus sometimes a bad taste in my mouth and I also lose my voice. Yes, my problem is in the upper part of my mouth too. I do not have a burning feeling in my stomach though, sometimes pain pinches in stomach under the sterum or breastbone.

I also had bad burning in both eyes this past summer. In fact, I could hardly open them. It was allergic eyes and they are very often red.

They are unsure of what I have.

Thanks for your reply Joan.. :)

I guess I might mention that at the same time my Acid symptoms started I also started having diarreah. It turns out that I have colitis (unspecified atm) but the doc is leaning towards Chron's.

Anyhow... Since I have been having joint pains for a few years now my GP wants me to see a specialist. She said something about possible Sjogrens Syndrome. I read that it can cause something called sicca syndrome - dry eyes, mouth and sometimes vagina. (I am having trouble with my vagina as well and i guess that's why she wants me to see the specialist)

I have heard of that too. I do not believe I have that problem which is quite serious. I definitely have asthma and allergies and this other stuff may be sinus problems or it could be GERD. I will be having the endoscopy on 11/21 and I will find out more.

Hi,

My problem is the acidic taste in the back of my mouth that effects my tongue as well. I haven't found a complete solution yet, just starting taking gaviscon, helps a little not a lot. Have u gotten any suggestions on how to solve this problem.

hi everybody...all they want to do is test me and stuff. The doc did recommend gargling with salt water for the throat. I hate it because it is all the time but varies in intensity. Nobody cares as it is not "serious". An added problem for me is that I can not take my alleve for arthritis now which is another problem. I can only take tylenol. Another big problem is that the doctors don't talk to each other and actually seem like rivals sometimes. Frankly I have half a mind to ditch the whole thing...forget the third endoscope and take my alleve and just LIVE WITH THE THROAT.

Problems problems all day long
will my problem work out right or wrong.
