Anyone suffer from esophogus (sp) ulcers?  I've been on antibiotics for the last month for a infected tooth, the 2nd round being much much stronger.  I also suffer from GERD.  Gastro thinks I have ulcers in the esophogus from the antib's refluxing up.  I feel like I have something stuck in my throat, and have terrible chest pain after eating.  My throat is also very sore, way down.  Anyone have any experience with this?

hi,

i have experienced the "lump" in the throat feeling.  it felt like it moved!  but now i have the feeling like blockage in my throat when i swallow, you know like it goes down slow.  i dont really have the sore throat, but an uncomfortable feeling on the right side of my throat sometimes.  you should try slippery elm.  it soothes sore throats.  you can get it at your local health food store.  and also braggs apple cider vinegar is to help with heartburn.  dont take alot at one time though because it gave me an upset stomach.  so slippery elm for ypur throat, apple cider vinegar for the  heartburn.

I also feel sometimes there's something stuck in my throat. And the soreness is way down in my lower throat and gets worse after meals sometimes when I'm having flare up. I don't have chest pains but my upper chest around he collar bone does hurt.

Right now vinegar sounds painful! lol.  Thanks for the info though.  I'll check it out once I get myself under control again.

This sounds like my problem, but I have the not so wonderful experience of chest pain with it. Hope you feel better soon too!

What seems to help right now is eating very small meals. I used to eat a full dinner 4 hours before bed but now I'm only eating about 1 cup total of food for dinner. My symptoms seems to have diminished quite a bit. I'm doing quite well except for having a problem with lack of bowel movements right now...I haven't gone in about a week...just seems to have lost the urge for some strange reason.

Maybe it's a new side effect from my PPI?
