Because i am not able to take medicine i was looking for alternative options for GERD treatment.
I also have allergies and food intolerancies. I have learned that there is ancient knowledge Ayuveda which can help. I found Ayurveda doc who gave me many supplements and oil for massage. It should help to reduce Pitta ( Fire, acid, enzyme and bile) in my body and mind.
According to Ayurveda allergy is the result of high Pitta too. It was not easy to used to this but i start from 1/4 and now increased to 3/4 of pill. I am also meditating ( TM) to relax and reduce stress.

By the way I red  about scientific research on TM that it help to increase the level of serotonin – hormone which is responsible for gut movement. One doc prescribed me Zelnorm – medicine which help for IBS with serotonin. GERD is considered as part of IBS because it is abnormal movement of gut up instead down. It is connected to hormones and for that reason it is happen more often to woman and babies who are too sensitive to it. I was not able to tolerate Zelnorm but I think meditation help for my GERD. Before I got H. Hernia I did not had reflux very often, only few times in my life. It is happen when I was heated by massage, acupuncture and after too much work or stress. Now when I am free from Hernia meditation will work better I think.

You can go to www.mapi.com to learn more about Ayurveda and you can search for Pitta diet.

It is difficult to take pills because it is bitter. They mix differet tastes but any way it is not a candy. I tried to suck them as doc told me that to cook down my esophagus but it was too bitter. I just swallow it now. With gerd we should cool down body because reflux triggered by heat.
