Been suffering for about 2 years now. At first the pain was only a couple of times a week. Then it was daily. Several attacks (severe pain..bring me to my knees pain) a couple of times a week. Went to the dr last summer, put me on Prevacid, didn't work, put me on Protonix, didn't work. Put me on Nexium (80mg a day) didn't work. Sent me to a Gastro spec. Ran lots of tests, including upper GI, endoscopy, esophageal motility test, x-rays, sonogram, several others---finally did a gall bladder response test---had an attack on the table-only working at 6% capacity.
Went in for immediate removal. Thought this was the answer-to no avail.
Back to where I was a year ago---with the exception of the attacks. I cannot eat or drink anything without the acid and pain. I currently only take OTC medicines to no avail. I have horrible insurance, have been through all the tests......what now?
Any ideas? I am only 34. I am in great shape---exercise regularly, eat healthy when able to!
My stomach is always gurggling----can eat something---immediately comes right out-----which is typical after having gall bladder removed. Cannot eat salads at all anymore---seems like I cannot digest several foods.
When I was in my early 20's, I went through a strand of tests for lupus----tests came back inconclusive........anyone with lupus with symptoms like mine? I have been free from much of the lupus stuff since 2000, until this all started in 2004.
Any help would be great!
