Hi,  Has anyone tried the Stretta procedure or Bard suturing technique?
I am interested mostly in the Bard and would like to know more about it.

I guess I should explain for those who are not familiar with these procedures.  The Stretta is evidently a radiowave procedure that is supposed to strengthen the LES muscle and the Bard suturing procedure has been around for about six years.  the procedure is to put a suturing instrument down your esophagus and take a suture or two in the sphincter muscle which is like a pleat or fold in the muscle and this procedure apparently tightens the sphincter.    Has anyone had this done and what have the results been?

I personally have not tried any, but my doctor who was one of the first doctors who performed Bard Endocinch no longer recommends it, becasue of the failure rate. Studies have shown that more than half will need to take PPI's after the procedure. It is of course my doctors OPINION, just thought I shared that.
