Is this the one from nutrigenesis.com?  If so yes I've tried it, I'm actually using it now and I have noticed a big difference. It tastes horrible but I feel better when I take it.

Hi,    Could you tell me more about the Acidgone.  I'm thinking of getting it but how does it work and how many times a day do you take it.    Did you get the starter kit or just the Acidgone?  I'm getting desperate and I'm just about ready to go back on Prevacid unless I can find something that I can take long-term.   The orange extract (d-limonene) really works good but it flares up my nerve condition some reason.

Sillylilly,

I didn't get the starter pack because they said most of the info can be found online.  It works for me. I take it twice a day(AM and PM).  I haven't taken it in a couple of days and I felt the difference.  It's expensive and a big hassle though.  Ijust moved to a diff state and a new job and I'm wondering how I can drink it twice a day.  You're supposed to drink it on an empty stomach(2 hrs after a meal).  It tastes bad but if you mix it with apple juice it's ok.

Let me know if you need any more feedback.  You can just email me too.  I also just bought a homeopathic medicine called Acidil and that works really great too. It's manufactured by Boiron.

Thank you, Precious, for the info;  it sounds good and I guess it is probably worth the hassle.  My problem is that my LES is weak and no matter what I take or do, it seems that I still have some acid reflux but I think I'll give it a try.

Justine,
Go to www.acidgone.com and you will find out all about it.  It's mostly herbs and quite a few a them.  Like most herbs, you can only take them for so long before some side effect crops up or it stops working...at least that's been my experience.  I guess we shouldn't be taking anything on a daily basis unless absolutely necessary.

Precious,    I looked up Acidil on one website www.nutrovita.com and it said that one ingredient of Acidil is strychnine.  I can't believe it but look it up and see.   And those other ingredients to very suspicious also; what are they?

Sillylilly,
Really? I didn't see strychnine in the list of ingredients for ACIDIL. Are you sure it's the same? This is made by Boiron. Look it up under there. It's supposed to be a homeopathic medicine.
The other ingredients are natural but they are listed under their scientific names. You can google those names and you should find what the laymen's terms are.

I will check that website you mentioned. Thanks.

Sillylilly,
Oh my gosh I can't believe it does say strychnine in the website. What do I do now? I paid almost 10 bucks for this stuff!

Precious....I emailed Boiron and I received a reply.  It seems that the Nux vomica seeds to contain small amounts of strychnine.  They said that it has been diluted in the product so that it's not toxic.  The other ingredients are the yellow locust tree (controls heartburn), charcoal for gas and bloating, and black locust tree seeds.  So if you feel comfortable taking it and it's working you have to decide whether it's worth the risk.  I don't know, it sounds kind of scary.

Sillylilly,
Thanks for emailing them. I actually want to get my money back, I don't feel comfortable using this. Now I know why I missed that in the label....it was so tiny! Small print did say strychnine. I know about the other ingredients because I asked a clerk at the store.
I don't think I'll be taking it anymore.
