If I have a stomach valve problem will taking enzymes, probiotics, etc. help?

I have LPR with no stomach symptoms. My only problem is throat issues.  Difficulty swallowing, bad taste in mouth.

I am not sure if taking probiotics and enzymes will help if I have a valve problem with my stomach.  I do not know if I have a valve problem or not. 

Could my LPR be caused solely by a digestion problem without having any stomach symtoms (bloating, burping, etc.)?
