Again, I agree with everything you say, Mind and Body are meshed together. Everyone should take your advice. It does work. My suggestion to everyone is get into some type of therapy, group session, seminars whatever it is - but,you must deal with your emotions, anger, sadness, again whatever it is.
My only question to you Danie is this, I bought Licorice Root capsules, Do you think there is a difference between that and DGL licorice?

You have to get DGL licorice, the chewable kind. Apparently it's very important that they be dissolved in your mouth with saliva for them to work. You take two (I used 3 for a while) 20 minutes before you eat anything. It makes sense, you dissolve them in your mouth and it coats your esophagus. The point is to heal your esophagus.
If you get them from Puritan Pride, like I do, they are actually not that expensive. I they might be having a better sale now. They are usually 2 for the price of 1.

If you buy 2 they send you 4 free.

I also agree with you that everyone has to look at their own particular situation. Many people have alot of other problems or stress. Although, just a short while ago doctors used to think that a certain type of ulcer was caused by stress. Instead it's caused by bacteria - Hpylori!!!!!
It's easy for someone to say - it's all in your head!! My symptoms were severe dizziness and nausea. I knew I had physiological symptoms, not psychological and something was causing it - I certainly was not making them up.
I really believe that changing your diet drastically can get anyone on the road to recovery, at least from damage to your esophagus. It may also be extremely helpful to people with IBS too. I think alkaline way of eating is helpful to all humans, we just strayed too much the other way.
Hope this helps you, get well soon.
