Hi I found out from my pulmonary doctor, yeah pulmonary doctor not the gastro doc.   that I have a dilated esaphogus.  Does anyone else have this problem and if so what kind of treatment do you have?   I hurt down through the esaphogus and have a raspy voice and the throat on the right side in the way back hurts too.  I do not have a strep throat.  but I do have an enlarged thyroid on the right side and a nodule on the right side of the thyroid which no one has addressed yet.
Also I was wondering if anyone has been on prevaid (sp)?  And what it does? I have been on prevacid for years now, but something isn't working quite right because of the problems I am having.
  I would welcome any input.
