I found that the ONLY thing that eliminated heartburn for me altogether was to cut out any fatty or rich foods. I've even had to stop using butter for a while. Even the added oil in the rice milk I'd been using is a problem right now, so I make my own almond milk with a juicer I have. The more fats you can eliminate, I believe will reduce your heartburn. It's worth a try. I poach any chicken, turkey or fish I eat and it's made a huge difference. I experience very little stomach acid now in comparison to just a couple of weeks ago and my pH just reached the normal zone today.
