Not sure I can take it.  I wonder if the capsules will help.

KLA,
I would have used anything to get over the symptoms of GERD! I don't think licorice was that horrible since I only needed it short term.

Capsules will not do it. I HAVE POSTED THIS MANY TIMES - YOU HAVE TO DISSOLVE IT IN YOUR MOUTH WITH SALIVA (SALIVA IS ALKALINE) AND THEN IT COATS YOUR ESOPHAGUS, thereby allowing food to go down and not damage it further.
You take it 20 minutes before eating for that reason, it takes time to coat the esophagus. And don't drink anything either while you're eating, drink water after eating!!!!!!

They had capsules first, but that doesn't work.

Try it if you have GERD, how bad can it really be to get relief from horrible symptoms!!!! ALSO, sleep on your LEFT SIDE!!!!!! TRAIN YOURSELF to do so.

DANIE, I didn't know that you're not supposed to drink anything while you eat...

I had read that, about not drinking, mostly because you swallow too much air.
To me it made sense that if you use the DGL and it coats your esophagus and then drink liquids it will wash away the coating. That's how I see it. After eating, you can drink water. Obviously, if you need to drink because you're chocking or something then do so!
